7 Steps To A Great Smoky Eye

Hi guys,
Here's my How-To: Smoky Eyes! Let me know how this look goes if you try it.

What you will need:

A super dramatic mascara

A smudgy black eyeliner:

Kohl pencil is probably best

A few eyeshadow colours in different shades of the same theme (silvers, blues etc)

For example either of these two palettes.

OR a black and white sparkly for a more dramatic look

 Some soft blending brushes

How to:

1- Apply the lightest colour across the entire eyelid. You can use whatever brush, pad, sponge, finger that takes your fancy for this stage. Also apply to the brow bone and inner corner for highlighting.

2- Apply the second/third/fourth/ etc lightest colour coming away from the outer corner of your eye to the other side. This should build up on the outer corner, and fade in across the eyelid, going from dark at the outer corner to lighter on the inside.

3- Repeat stage 2 for as many colours as you have, for the 'middle' colours.

4- Smudge the darkest colour onto the outer corner of your eyes. You want to make this soft for the day, and more defined for the night.

5- Use the blending brush. Whilst keeping all of the colours defined and strong, blur the edges into each other.

6- Apply eyeliner around the lower lash line, and around the corner. I like to take my pencil corner out a little round the crease where my upper and lower lids, not just with a liquid eyeliner.

7- Add mascara liberally. Dust off around the eye if your shadow has fallen, and add concealer to really make a defined look. Add a pair of false eyelashes if you really want to make a statement.

This should then look somewhat like the picture above. If you have any comments/suggestions (please suggest another how-to) then leave a comment! Even if it's just to say "I loved the post and will be trying it out. Would love to see a post on...." then it would make my day!
