How to -donut bun-

Hi guys!
In my -occasion looks- http://that-little-beauty-blog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/occasion-looks.html post I mentioned a donut bun.

I find these great as they are quick, easy and can be worn elegant or kinda messy.

The donut itself can be bought really cheap from any drugstore (boots, superdrug) and in most shops with a make-up counter (primark, new look, peacocks) if you really want you can use a sock instead but I will get to that at the end!

There are 2 different methods that both start with the same first step.

1. Brush your hair and put into a simple high pony tail. Secure with a normal hair

bobble

Method 1:

2. Pull your pony tail through the donut
3. Distribute your hair so that you cannot see the donut under your hair
4. Put a hair bobble over the bun making sure there are no uneven gaps where you can
see the donut
5. Twist the excess hair round and secure bun with bobby pins
6. Finish with a spritz if hairspray to keep your hair in place!

Method 2:

2. Pull your pony tail up towards the ceiling and place the donut at the end of your hair
3. Start rolling the donut towards your head (inside out...)
4. Tidy it up
5. Secure with grips
6. Finish with  spritz of hairspray to keep in all day
The second method takes some practise but they both look great.

For the sock bun, which I mentioned at the start of this post - you will need...a sock!

(Shock horror!)

Method:

1. Get an old sock, preferably the same colour of your hair, and cut the toe end off
2. Roll -inside out- into a donut shape
3. Follow the methods using a proper donut to create a sock bun!

And there you have it! You can leave all the hair scrapes back, all prim and proper for a

smart and more elegant look, or pull strands of hair out and rough it all up a bit for a
casual, messy look - my favourite!

Here are some different looks using a donut!

I think this is really easy and love it because it looks great!!

Hope you learned something!
